On The Radio...

I'm on my way to work this morning, listening to Cities 97, and I hear that Bryan Adams is on tour right now, and he happens to be coming to the city tonight. You know how you love some things, just because of the memories that are attached to it? Well...my college days were filled with afternoons of laughing, hanging out and talking with my friends, not doing homework, listening to music...some of which was Bryan Adams. My dear dear friend Jay, (the one who got me into blogging) also was the one to introduce me Bryan Adams. So every time I hear his music, it throws me back to "those were the days..." . So I heard him on the radio this morning and thought, "I'm going to dig out his CDs when I get home and have a few moments of nostalgia." So...a few hours pass non-eventfully at work...and then we get a phone call from a guy inquiring about one of our products. Typical...except he says he's only in the city for one night, and isn't familiar with the area. He says he's in town with Bryan Adams, and would anyone be willing to drop off the cases they needed in exchange for a couple of tickets to see the show? So I said, "Yes!"
Here I thought my reminiscing would consist of looking at old pictures and listening to Bryan on the radio. Instead, I get to reminisce by actually SEEING him in concert.

I Left My Heart in Tampa and Other Musings...

McDreamy is in Tampa for the week, traveling with the baseball team. Great for him, sad for me. He's a coach, and he travels a lot. So I just miss him- a lot. Any good ideas on how I can pass my time and not feel so lonely? We typically live for the weekends, and summers. I can't wait for summer to start! And when he gets back, he's going to do a post with pictures from their trip!
On a different note altogether - I am part of a Jane Austen book club, and I absolutely love it. I've never been in a book club before, but it's fantastic. If you have never been part of a book group before, I highly recommend it. After college, I went through a spell where I could barely look at a book, but I think that season has passed, and I'm so hungry for literature. Any other great book recommendations? Send them my way!
Lastly, and randomly (hey-if I can't be random here, where can I be?) we have the cutest nephew and Godson in the world! Before he was born, we named him "The Bean" and for this blog, I believe it's appropriate to keep that name. The Bean is now 2, and we adore him. His mom and dad nominated him for cutest baby in the USA...look how adorable he is!

Here We Go

So, this is new for me. My dear dear friend (Jay) has been trying to convince me for months to set one of these things up. (She's always introducing me to something new! love it!) So, I'm giving it a go. I think it's going to be fun. My name is Bea (B) and I'm married to the man of my dreams. He's my McDreamy, and although it may sound cheesy to you, if you have your own McDreamy, I think you'll understand. Looking at my blank boring blog right now makes me want to start blogging all the time! I need to fill up this page! Oh! By the way, this blog isn't just mine. It's for me and McDreamy. This blog, I guess, is going to be about us...and the way we are! So hold onto your knickers...
